Here you will find the good old fashioned strip-mall style of shopping, with friendly and long-standing retailers – both traditional retail, and professional services.

Burwood Heights first made its name with a just a service station, which later, in 1983 became Safeway. East Burwood Travel was the second specialty retailer to open next to a hairdresser. Soon after, the centre grew to include Spectacles Plus, a bank, and some shops facing Burwood Highway. Peter Smith’s Chemist was also soon part of the retailers mix.

In 1997, the centre experienced a refurbishment to include an updated rendered façade, which was a modern vamp up on the 1980’s brick.

As the years went, more and more businesses joined the growing Burwood Heights family, and there was soon a great offering for locals.

Now, Burwood Heights serves a community of residents in Burwood, Burwood East, Blackburn, Mount Waverley, and Whitehorse.

Burwood Heights has free 3 hour parking which is plenty of time to browse and enjoy your shop.
