Bulk billing, 24 hour report turnaround at Radiology Victoria

Bulk billing for the majority of services, 24 hour report turnaround and shorter waiting times for appointments are some of the biggest features of the new Radiology Victoria branch at Burwood Heights Shopping Centre.

“Radiology Victoria pride ourselves as being a community clinic accessible for all while still maintaining high quality reporting and imaging standards. We are really proud to offer this level of service while at bulk billing prices,” Radiology Victoria Business Development and Marketing Officer Nathan De Lacy said.

A division of the Sonic Healthcare Group, Radiology Victoria is committed to providing excellence using the very latest technology and diagnostic equipment available. “We always have a radiologist onsite and comprehensive, accurate reports are returned to patients within 24 hours,” Nathan stated.

“We can access your images from previous radiology providers as well and we accept all referral forms.”

Another feature of Radiology Victoria is the bulk billing of mammogram examinations, unlike many other service providers.

The only services that are not bulk billed at Radiology Victoria Burwood East are obstetric ultrasounds and interventional procedures.

The team at Radiology Victoria’s Burwood East clinic are headed up by Managing Radiologist Dr Daniel Ou, Chief Sonographer David Lang and Director of Radiology Dr Anthony Upton. The main services offered are:

  • Bone mineral densitometry (BMD) – used to diagnose osteoporosis, assessing
fracture risk and monitoring bone density
  • Ultrasound (three rooms) – a wide range of applications using ’real time’ pictures as opposed to still images to study unborn babies, abdominal and pelvis organs, muscles and tendons
  • Mammography and breast tomosynthesis – examination of breast tissue in thin ‘layers’ for the early detection of breast cancer
  • Computed tomography (CT) – using industry-leading ultra-low dose technology that can scan soft tissue, bones and organs in one rotation to reduce radiation exposure
  • General X-ray – the latest digital X-ray technology with low-dose detectors to ensure minimal radiation exposure without compromising on image quality
  • Pathology – blood testing conducted by Melbourne Pathology every Monday,

Wednesday and Friday 9am to 12.30pm

For appointments phone 9297 8400 or book online at radiologyvictoria.com.au. No appointments are needed for X-rays and blood testing.

The clinic at 3/10-40 Burwood Highway, Burwood East is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
